This Mother’s Day, I found myself reflecting deeply on the woman who has shaped so much of who I am—my mother. For 51 years, she has been a steady presence, guiding me not only with her words but with her unwavering actions. From the time I was a small child, she made it a priority to take me to church. Week after week, year after year, she planted seeds of faith, discipline, and purpose in my life—often without saying a word.
Her diligence wasn’t loud or boastful; it was steady and sacred. She showed me what it means to commit to something bigger than yourself. In those early mornings, dressed and ready to worship, she taught me about consistency, resilience, and reverence.
As an adult, I now realize how deeply those unspoken lessons have anchored me. They show up in how I face challenges, how I love my family, and how I pursue my calling.
I also recognize that not everyone has their mother with them, especially on days like this, and my heart aches for them. But I honor mine by living out the lessons she gave me—spoken and silent—every single day.
