Pastor was preaching on Patience this past Sunday and I couldn’t help but think about the process in regards to pursuing your calling and what will be required of us along the way. Your patience level will have to match your ambition which are two completely opposite emotional states. Do you like waiting in line at the grocery store, in traffic, or even going out to eat. I mean, when we go out to eat, we have to wait to be seated, we have to wait, on our drinks, we have to wait on our appetizers, we have to wait on our food, and we have to wait on our check? What about your dream? Are you willing to delay gratification, put in the work, but patience and exhibit a great attitude in the process? If you can do that, then God has promised to reward you something greater than you could have ever envisioned for your life! You cant put your dream in a microwave and hit two minutes and have the life you envisioned for yourself. What happens if the blessing comes and we are not prepared for it? I remind myself of this often because this could potentially cause me to retreat if I am not prepared to handle what God has ready for me. There is a maturing and building process that takes place when we practice patience. Most people don’t want to work on themselves because it’s hard! You should be patient, and you should be because it’s totally worth it! When you want to make an impact on this planet before you leave you will need to honor patience, because their is something great happening inside of you through this process. The smalls wins are gonna keep you going when you feel like the needle isn’t moving. When you are ready to take action and start building the road map to your goals, let have a conversation.
